Job Description
We are seeking a Family Law Attorney to join our compassionate team and handle a variety of family law cases, including divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support, and property division. The ideal candidate will be passionate about advocating for families, providing excellent legal counsel, and working collaboratively with our team to offer the highest quality service.
Responsibilities
Represent clients in family law matters, including divorce, custody disputes, child support, and more.
Offer expert legal advice and representation during court proceedings, mediation, and settlement negotiations.
Draft legal documents such as petitions, motions, and settlement agreements.
Communicate regularly with clients, providing them with updates and empathetic legal support.
Work closely with team members, offering guidance and support when needed, and contributing to a collaborative environment.
Maintain accurate case records, ensuring deadlines and legal requirements are met.
Leverage innovative technological tools and AI systems for legal research, document drafting, and case management.
Requirements
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Active license to practice law in Oregon (or ability to obtain one quickly if remote).
Minimum of 2 years of experience in family law with a solid understanding of family law issues.
Strong communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
Ability to work independently and manage a caseload efficiently.
Demonstrated commitment to kindness and professionalism in client interactions.
Strong legal research and writing skills.
Ability to collaborate and thrive in a team-oriented environment.
Willingness to embrace and work with the latest legal technology and tools.
Preferred Skills
Experience with high-net-worth divorce cases or complex custody matters.
Mediation or collaborative law training.
Familiarity with local family law courts and procedures.
Comfort using legal technology tools to enhance practice efficiency.
