MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
This position is an experienced role that includes maintenance of the facility, grounds, equipment, and assistance with various responsibilities to keep the environment safe and functional.
Job Description
Assures maintenance of facility, as well as grounds and equipment.
Services facility equipment performs minor repairs and assists in keeping facility free of hazards.
Monitors whirlpool lift per weekly schedule and services as needed.
Lubricates wheelchairs per schedule and makes minor repairs as needed.
Cleans casters on equipment and filters per schedule.
Monitors bedrails and repairs as needed.
Monitors dining room tables to assure they are level at all times.
Hangs pictures and connects T.V.s for patients as needed.
Monitors downspouts, roof, and maintenance shop and assures cleanliness.
Repair sheetrock as needed.
Performs minor carpentry repairs, electrical repairs, and plumbing repairs as needed.
Job Requirements
High school graduate.
Valid NC Driver’s License.
Knowledge of general maintenance.
Experience in HVAC.
General computer knowledge for troubleshooting and computer based software work order system.
Carry cell phone and respond to maintenance call every fourth weekend.
Willing to work odd hours if emergency arises.
Ability to write and read with clarity sufficient to follow instructions.
Neat appearance and good personal hygiene.
Knowledge of how to reset fire alarm panels and pull stations.
Knowledge of turning off main power supply, water supply, and/or gas supply to facility.
Knowledge of the functions of all roof equipment as well as other equipment.
Willing to work as Housekeeping Assistant Porter, Laundry Assistant or Grounds Assistant as needed.
Background checks/drug‑free workplace.
