Position Overview
CLFC Healthcare & Communications is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist to perform clinical laboratory testing at a federal correctional institution in Cumberland, Maryland. You will conduct hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, serology, and microbiology testing, maintaining CLIA compliance and quality control for the inmate healthcare program.
Key Responsibilities
Perform clinical laboratory testing across multiple disciplines
Collect, process, and analyze patient specimens per CLSI standards
Operate and maintain laboratory analyzers and POC equipment
Perform QC, proficiency testing, and calibrations
Review and release results, flag critical values
Support infectious disease screening programs
Ensure CLIA and BOP laboratory compliance
Required Qualifications
Associate or Bachelor degree in Medical Laboratory Technology
ASCP certification (MLT or MLS)
Current BLS certification
U.S. citizenship required
Ability to pass federal background investigation
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor in CLS preferred
POC testing experience
Compensation and Benefits
Salary: $57,000 - $74,000 annually
