Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry position requiring Epic proficiency and a minimum of 2 years of experience for a 13-week night shift contract in Texas.
Details
Work in a 19-bed Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit (2 South) consisting of 18 private rooms and one semi-private room with a maximum census of 20 patients
Patient population ranges from young adults through geriatrics with a broad range of care needs
Telemetry capabilities are available on this unit
Patient ratio is 1:6
Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00-07:00
Half of all scheduled shifts will include weekend hours
Epic EMR — experience required
Requirements
Active TX RN license or compact RN license valid in Texas, required at time of consideration
Current certifications required: BLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
Prior travel nursing experience preferred
Epic EMR experience required
Additional Information
Candidates must reside outside of the following TX counties to be eligible: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, and Morris — candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted
Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
No travel pairs or groups accepted
RTO is limited to no more than 3 days and none during the first week of orientation
2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are required for consideration
