Job Summary
Fusion Medical Staffing‑Therapy is seeking a travel Speech Language Pathologist for a 42‑week assignment starting 08/03/2026 in Cypress, Texas. The position involves 8‑hour shifts, 40 hours per week, and provides competitive pay with comprehensive benefits and recruiter support.
Responsibilities
Utilize standardized assessments and clinical observation to evaluate speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders across a diverse patient population.
Design personalized therapy programs based on evaluation findings, patient goals, and evidence‑based practices.
Continuously assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and maintain detailed documentation in the electronic medical record.
Educate patients, families, and caregivers on effective communication strategies, home‑based exercises, and safe swallowing practices, while offering supportive counseling as required.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
Maintain a safe treatment environment by adhering to infection control protocols, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards.
Participate in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities to remain current with best practices in speech‑language therapy.
Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice.
Required Qualifications
Valid Speech Language Pathologist License in compliance with state regulations.
Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree or higher in Speech‑Language Pathology.
Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech‑Language Pathology.
Experience in Speech‑Language Pathology; new graduates welcome.
Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position.
Required Skills
Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication.
Reading, writing, and comprehension in English, and PC skills.
Physical ability to remain stationary, move equipment weighing 50‑100 lbs, and perform fine manipulation tasks.
Capacity to work effectively with a variety of personnel and maintain a positive attitude.
Ability to cope with frequent public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, and work independently or with occasional supervision.
Regular concentration on details and coping with irregular activity schedules.
Visual acuity sufficient for effective communication.
