Job Title: Orange Media Network KBVR-TV Show Producer (Summer 2026)

Job Location: Orange Media Network, Oregon State University
Position Summary: This role fills two part‑time (maximum 24 hours per week) KBVR‑TV Show Producer positions for the Orange Media Network at Oregon State University. The producer coordinates and produces live TV broadcasts for KBVR‑TV, manages content for online platforms, and ensures accurate captioning and post‑stream uploads.
Responsibilities
Create and oversee content for a television series airing four times per term on KBVR‑TV; production dates determined by the TV Station Manager.
Ensure all shows are staffed with volunteer crew members, providing equipment training before each shoot.
Build detailed rundowns and tech books, sharing them with crew and manager five days in advance of the shoot.
Optimize live shows for YouTube and upload within 24 hours, labeling appropriately.
Host post‑show meetings to review footage and gather feedback.
Provide scripts, transcripts, and captioning material at least 24 hours before airtime.
Share links to full episodes on YouTube immediately after broadcast.
Respond to emails, messages, and phone calls the same day, representing OMN professionally.
Maintain office hours each week, at least half during regular business hours (8 a.m.–5 p.m., Monday–Friday).
Notify adviser immediately of any ethical, legal, personnel, or controversial issues.
Maintain compliance with OMN policies and hold staff and volunteers to them.
Required Qualifications
Comfortable shooting and editing video.
Knowledgeable about live studio production.
Knowledgeable about field video production.
Knowledgeable of legal regulations and ethical principles guiding television and video.
Strong communicator with public‑speaking skills.
Organized and reliable.
Comfortable giving and receiving feedback.
Professional and calm in difficult situations.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous paid staff or crew experience with KBVR‑TV.
Prior attendance and participation in OMN training camp.
