Grid Investments in the Age of Electrification, AI and Data Ascendency

NORTHAMPTON, MA / ACCESS Newswire / September 29, 2025 / by Ron Pernick, Clean Edge

When Clean Edge was founded back in 2000, we had a very clear sense that a host of emerging clean technologies – spanning renewables, the grid, transportation, and more – would experience learning curves and growth trajectories more akin to the internet and computers than to extractive energy sectors such as oil and gas. In hindsight, this thesis seems obvious, but at the time it was a radical concept that was just being embraced by a small cohort of tech and investment experts who had witnessed similar breakthroughs in the high-technology sector. After 25 years, clean tech and high tech are now firmly converging, especially at the intersection of the electric grid.

The statistics speak for themselves:

• Solar and wind are now the most cost-competitive and fastest-to-deploy sources of energy across most of the globe.

• Solar and storage have exhibited learning curves of 20% and 18%, respectively. A "learning curve" is the decline in cost for every doubling of manufacturing output globally – much like Moore’s Law for transistors on chips.

• Globally, on average, it takes nearly eight years to build a new nuclear power plant (much longer in places like the U.S. and U.K.) while it takes one and a half to three years to build a solar farm with integrated energy storage. New natural gas turbines are currently backlogged out to 2028-2030.

• In 2024, renewables represented a record ~90% of new electricity capacity additions both in the U.S. and globally.

• More than 17 million electric vehicles were sold worldwide last year and reached nearly half of all passenger vehicles sold in China, the largest global market by far with an estimated 11 million EVs sold.

• Datacenters are moving into the hyperscale, with Meta and others now building GW-size plants that require from 1 GW to 5 GW of operating power, enough capacity to power an entire city.

Which brings us to the electric grid. As renewables penetration grows, electrification of heat and transportation takes off, and new power-hungry AI-driven datacenters expand, the need for a modern 21st-century grid is not a "nice-to-have" but a necessity.

LOS ANGELES, CA / ACCESS Newswire / September 29, 2025 / Digital media powerhouse and Instagram sensation Simonetta Lein lit up the Peacock Theater on September 14, 2025, as she joined television’s brightest stars for the 77th Primetime Emmy Awards. Known globally for The Simonetta Lein Show via SLTV, Simonetta made a dazzling entrance, marking a milestone for online content creators and signaling the growing recognition of digital media in Hollywood.

Simonetta’s show has become a leading platform for interviews, cultural commentary, and lifestyle features, all tailored for a digitally engaged audience. Her special invitation to the Emmys underscores a larger shift in the entertainment industry: digital content is no longer secondary-it is shaping the future of storytelling.

Accompanying Simonetta on the red carpet was her manager and husband, multi-award-winning producer Raphael Anthony Amabile, forming what insiders have called a "power couple" in media. Together, they captured the spotlight with coordinated ensembles-Simonetta in a striking designer gown and Raphael in a classic tailored suit-blending glamour with influence.

"Being at the Emmys is more than a personal milestone," Simonetta said. "It’s a statement that digital media creators are an integral part of the industry, and our show is proud to be part of that evolution. Creativity, authenticity, and connection are defining the next era of entertainment."

Raphael Anthony Amabile added, "Simonetta’s vision for the show is redefining storytelling. Together, we’re proving that digital media can stand alongside traditional platforms while setting new standards for engagement and influence."

The couple’s presence resonated with industry insiders and fellow celebrities, many of whom praised the seamless blend of digital innovation with Hollywood tradition. It was a moment that highlighted the shifting landscape, where creators from online platforms are now being recognized alongside established television icons.

Simonetta Lein’s appearance also signals the growing cultural relevance of her show. Produced by Ausonia Partners and known for combining celebrity interviews with socially conscious storytelling, the program shines a spotlight on philanthropy, wellness, fashion, and innovation. By earning a seat among Hollywood’s elite, Simonetta bridges the gap between digital and traditional media, proving that creators can command prestige while engaging millions of online viewers.

Industry insiders noted that the couple’s presence at the Emmys is not just ceremonial. Simonetta and Raphael have been instrumental in fostering collaborations between traditional studios and digital platforms, redefining content production for the 21st century.

"This is about more than awards," Simonetta explained. "It’s about acknowledging the reach and impact of digital media. Millions of viewers engage with our content daily, and being recognized alongside Hollywood’s best proves that digital storytelling is equally meaningful and influential."

As the night concluded, Simonetta reflected on her journey from digital content creator to Emmy-recognized host. "This is a milestone not only for me but for all creators pushing boundaries," she said. "It proves that passion, vision, and authenticity can break barriers and reshape an industry."

Show airing Sept. 27 on Fox Business spotlights businesses that simplify property management, provide data management and AI services, fight tax cases and unlock federal health care funds.

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK / ACCESS Newswire / September 26, 2025 / Innovators who make property management easy and profitable, a pioneering cloud and AI solutions provider, an entrepreneur who went from being homeless to running a $50M enterprise, and consultants who help hospitals find financial stability from a federal program will be featured in the latest episode of " Trending Today," on Saturday, September 27 at 5:30 p.m. EST on Fox Business.

"Trending Today" is an award-winning TV series that for 13 years has profiled the inventors, innovators, and business visionaries who are inspiring change in business sectors from finance and health to retail and luxury lifestyles.

The September 27 episode will include segments on TurboTenant, creators of a software platform for landlords; Coretek, a cloud managed services provider and digital transformation leader; Scott Allen Curley, co-founder of FinishLine Tax Solutions; and Ravin Consultants, experts in managing federal 340B programs.

"At ‘Trending Today,’ we are committed to telling the stories of trailblazing entrepreneurs and dynamic businesses that are both transforming their industries and improving the lives of others," said Liz Plummer, the show’s executive producer.

TurboTenant
With more than 800,000 users across the country, TurboTenant has taken on a transformational role in the rental industry, with its innovation, education, and user-friendly technology.

TurboTenant has developed an all-in-one platform for the everyday landlord that makes renting out property less intimidating, less time-consuming, and more profitable. The platform helps independent property owners to find tenants and manage those relationships, with tools for creating leases, drafting listings, and managing finances.

"Our mission is to make property management feel empowering, not overwhelming," said Seamus Nally, chief executive officer of TurboTenant. "With AI, automation, and step-by-step guidance, we help landlords confidently say ‘I’ve got this’ from day one."

Coretek
Over the past 20 years, Coretek has evolved from a regional systems integrator to a nationally recognized digital transformation leader and is now one of the nation’s leading Microsoft Azure Expert Managed Service Providers (MSP).

Coretek invested heavily in artificial intelligence in 2022 and specializes in helping its clients use AI to improve quality and reduce costs. The company also maintains a deep specialization in Azure security, data, and AI, serving clients that need to scale fast and maintain a tight security posture.

"We adopt our approach to meet the unique needs of different industries by understanding the specific challenges and opportunities within each sector," Chief Revenue Office Clint Adkins said. "For healthcare, we focus on improving patient care and operational efficiency. For manufacturing, we emphasize automation and supply chain optimization. And for retail, we enhance customer engagement and the customer experience."

FinishLine Tax Solutions
FinishLine Tax Solutions helps people dealing with issues such as audits and back taxes, providing a team of licensed enrolled agents, accountants, tax attorneys and other professionals to represent clients and solve their tax problems.

It’s a service with meaning for co-founder Scott Allen Curley, who knows what it’s like to be the underdog facing daunting challenges. He documented his journey to redemption in his book "Absolution: The Dark Path to Light." He’s now spreading his inspiring story and proven success strategies via CommitCon 2026, a conference planned for January 2026 and designed for entrepreneurs, leaders, and changemakers who want to take bold action and turn ideas into results.

"My brand isn’t built on theory. It’s built on scars, setbacks, and comebacks," Curley said. "From addiction, prison, and homelessness to leading one of the largest tax litigation firms in the country, I’ve proven that commitment beats circumstance. What I stand for, and what my companies stand for, is proof that no past is too dark to create a future worth fighting for."

Ravin Consultants
The federal 340B Drug Pricing Program allows hospitals and health centers to purchase medications at significant discounts, allowing them to offset costs and expand care for uninsured and low-income patients. However, the complex program can create financial pitfalls for those administering it.

Ravin Consultants’ unique methodology and proprietary data dashboard has helped dozens of healthcare organizations get started with the 340B program and has helped increase the revenue of already existing programs by up to 400%. The firm also advises organizations on how to reinvest these hidden savings into meaningful community health initiatives. Ravin is now expanding into clinic development, credentialing and real-time analytics.

"At Ravin Consultants, we believe healthcare organizations shouldn’t have to choose between doing good and staying financially strong," said founder and CEO Jennifer Lockwood. "The 340B Program is more than a discount, it’s a lifeline. Our job is to help providers unlock every dollar they’re entitled to and then turn those savings into a real, measurable impact for the communities they serve."

The four companies appearing in the September 27 episode on Fox Business also will soon be featured in the "Trending Today" podcast, available on all major podcast platforms, including Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Podbean, and Overcast.

TORONTO, ON / ACCESS Newswire / September 25, 2025 / Advanced Design & Manufacturing (ADM) Toronto 2025, taking place October 21-23 at the Toronto Congress Centre, announces an impressive lineup of speakers addressing critical challenges and opportunities in Canada’s manufacturing landscape. Currently, the sector completes 10% of the country’s GDP, with over 1.7 million jobs across different verticals.

The three-day event covering six sectors including packaging, automation, plastics, processing, design and EV technology creates an all-in-one event allowing attendees to immerse themselves in an environment curated for collaboration. The keynote slate includes Dennis Darby, President and CEO at Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters (CME); Mona Eghanian, AVP at Ontario Vehicle Innovation Network (OVIN); Michelle Sangster, Managing Director at Eclipse Automation; and Daniel Tisch Echevarria, President & CEO at Ontario Chamber of Commerce.

In the opening keynote, "Trade Without Borders: Strengthening Canada’s Manufacturing Advantage in a Fragmented World," Darby will provide a powerful and pragmatic perspective on how Canadian manufacturers can remain competitive by leveraging international opportunities while removing internal trade barriers. Drawing on insights from CME’s national membership and research, he will explore the challenges and opportunities shaping the future of trade for Canada’s industrial sector.

The following day, Eghanian will present "Charging Forward: The Future of Ontario’s EV Supply Chain," exploring how the province is enabling the full EV value chain: from critical mineral extraction to cell and battery manufacturing, to vehicle assembly and province-wide charging infrastructure. Ontario is attracting global investment through the Ontario Vehicle Innovation Network (OVIN), its flagship initiative for the automotive and mobility sector, as well as key policies and programs such as the Critical Minerals Strategy and EV ChargeON, advancing smart mobility and EV technologies.

Sangster has been tapped for "Powering the People: Building a Future-Ready Workforce for Canadian Manufacturing." This keynote kicks off day 3 by spotlighting the human capital strategies that are driving workforce resilience and growth across the industry. From bridging generational gaps to building inclusive career ladders and leadership pipelines, the session has fresh insights, funding opportunities, and proven models for developing a skilled, adaptable and motivated workforce.

Wrapping up the slate is Echevarria, who will present "Navigating Trade Winds: Overcoming Tariff Challenges and Unlocking Global Opportunities for Ontario Manufacturers."In an era marked by shifting trade policies, evolving tariffs and growing geopolitical uncertainty, Ontario’s manufacturing sector faces both significant challenges and unprecedented opportunities. The presentation examines the impact of current trade and tariff environments in Ontario’s manufacturing industry, highlight strategies to mitigate risk, and identify emerging markets and partnership opportunities. Attendees will gain a clearer understanding of how provincial and federal initiatives, combined with private sector innovation, can strengthen Ontario’s global competitiveness.

"ADM Toronto 2025 reflects the future trajectory of Canadian manufacturing-more connected, innovative and self-reliant," said Kayle Kvinge, Event Director, Informa Markets Engineering. "The strategically curated event directly addresses critical industry challenges from navigating complex trade channels, addressing battery safety concerns to building a stronger talent pipeline."
