Want To Change The World? Twitter’s Co-founder Has Some Advice [VIDEO]

The Clinton Global Initiative University “brings together world leaders to take action on global challenges” and one of those leaders recently gracing a panel was Twitter’s co-founder, Jack Dorsey.

Dorsey shared his thoughts on changing the world – and starting a business.

CBS News reports on former President Bill Clinton’s recent event where he “brought a number of power hitters together to discuss education, environment and climate change, peace and human rights, poverty alleviation and public health.”

CBS News senior producer Lulu Chiang shares her conversation with Dorsey on entrepreneurship. He says starting is the hardest thing to do. And one needs to have a high tolerance for tasking risks.

It’s about taking risks, whether you’re starting your business or work in an organization, whatever charity or cause. It’s about the attitude of strong purpose and conviction. . . It’s about having that idea and the execution, and then it’s yours for the taking. It’s not about doing one thing after another.

In this video, Dorsey speaks about how he came up with the idea for Twitter and summarizes what he calls the “very long story” of microblogging platform. He believes contraint requires creativity and helps people live “in the moment.” He genuinely wanted to connect everyone in the world – and that’s what he did.

“The future has already arrived, it’s just not evenly distributed yet.” Twitter is a means to help do that.

TRY to say you don’t love that!

Take a listen, starting at 56:30, to hear him talk about the thinking behind Twitter and Square.
