The vast majority of all Twitter and Pinterest social sharing is now done via a mobile device – compared to slightly more than half of Facebook sharing – reveals a new study from ShareThis.
In their Q2 2014 Consumer Sharing Trends Report, ShareThis discovered that Facebook continues to dominate social sharing across the web with a 64 percent overall share, compared to 9 percent for Twitter and Facebook respectively.
However, sharing on Facebook is split between desktop and mobile (phone/tablet), with desktop still controlling the single biggest slice at 46 percent. Conversely, 75 percent of all Pinterest and 71 percent of all Twitter shares are done by either a smartphone or a tablet device.
