You might think you’re a unique snowflake, but you’re not: at least not when it comes to your social media habits.
This infographic has identified four major types of social media consumers, defined by their interests, economic status, knowledge of tech and more.
Coming to us from GetSatisfaction and Column Five, this infographic identifies four types of consumers on social media that together make up 65 percent of all users.
The biggest consumer group is the Fashionista Professional, making up 26 percent of users. For them, social media is all about finding new products and sharing their opinions. Fashionistas are best represented by female professionals between the ages of 25-34, and have lots of money to spend with few or no dependents – a marketers dream. GetSatisfaction recommends that brands work hard to provide this lucrative consumer group with plenty of online discounts and coupons, and foster strong links between Fashionistas to build a solid community.
Along with the Fashionistas, the Knights With Shiny iMacs make up a sizable chunk of social media users. They’re just how they sound: tek-savvy, active on social media, and love to help.
