Let the social media Christmasing begin. OfficeMax has expanded its ElfYourself campaign with the launch of the ElfYourself app.
The app lets you turn yourself and your friends into elves using new photos, photos from your library, or photos from Facebook. Here is more about the app from iTunes: “Simply upload up to five photos of you, your friends, family and more from your camera roll or Facebook. Select a dance theme, and the app will generate a custom ElfYourself video that you can share via email or post on Facebook.” App developer Magic Mirror created the app.
The company launched the email version of the campaign back in 2006. Since then it has expanded to social media. Since launch, people from 196 countries have visited OfficeMax’sElfYourself.com and more than 470 million elves have been created. In the past, OfficeMax worked with the technology company JibJab to create the ElfYourself effort. Since then JibJab created an eBook company called JibJab Kids, creating a line of eBooks that kids can star in. This year, OfficeMax worked with Oddcast on the effort.
