CBS Snags FNC Producer for ‘CBS This Morning’ Team

As CBS beefs up its coverage of the 2012 presidential election, they’re adding a producer to Washington’s “CBS This Morning” team. Jenna Gibson is not just any producer, she was most recently supervisor of Fox News’ Washington booking unit. At CBS she will handle booking guests and interviews. At Fox News she was apparently pivotal in the network’s Royal Wedding coverage. And last year she landed in the number four spot of The Hill‘s 50 Most Beautiful People of Capitol Hill. They described her as a “formidable” football player, a book club member, chocolate lover and avid movie watcher.

As we ratchet up our political coverage into the 2012 campaign season, I am very pleased to welcome the newest member of our Washington-based CBS This Morning team.

Jenna Gibson joins CBS News as a producer for CTM where she will lead our political guest booking and interview efforts.

She comes to us from the Fox News Channel where she quickly rose through the ranks to become the supervisor of the network’s Washington booking unit. Jenna helped to coordinate the network’s political coverage for more than five years, landing major interviews with high-level guests for daily FNC programs and prime time specials, including their debate and convention coverage in 2008.

She brings a wide range of experience to CBS having also taken the lead during FNC’s Royal Wedding coverage and New Years Eve specials, among other programs.

Her first day with us will be Monday, February 6.

Please join me in welcoming her to CBS News.

Thanks,

Mosheh
