As the nation gears up for the 2016 presidential election, CNN is preparing to lead in politics coverage.
In May, we wrote that CNN hired Ed O’Keefe as VP of CNNMoney and Politics for CNN Digital, a new role for the network. In just a matter of weeks, it looks as if his and the network’s vision, are clearly defined.

“What we really need to do now and plan to do in 2016 is hyper-focus on the audience we want to reach…We want the names and the reporting that [are] absolutely essential for the influence makers in Washington,” said O’Keefe in Wemple’s piece published late Tuesday afternoon.
