CNN’s Bohrman Named Current TV Prez

After nearly a decade with CNN, veteran media executive David Bohrman is leaving the network to head up Current TV.  News of his seemingly inevitable exit comes only three months after Bohrman was pulled from his position as Washington bureau chief and reassigned as senior vice president and Chief Innovation Officer for CNN Worldwide.

As President of Current TV, David will lead up programming, production, broadcast operations, digital and technology from New York and San Francisco.  It remains unclear whether Bohrman’s departure is a reaction to his fancy but vague new title at CNN or proof of an inner masochist who couldn’t resist the opportunity to work with Keith Olbermann.  Either way, we wish him well.

Congrats to David!  And send our love to Olbee!
