Forbes Magazine Deems HuffPost‘s Sam Stein as Smart and Young-ish

Sam Stein, White House Correspondent for HuffPost, was selected for Forbes‘ first ever “30 under 30” list. The compilation highlights “today’s disrupters and tomorrow’s brightest stars.” Stein was barely eligible. He’s 29.

A few on the list include NYT‘s Brian Stelter, Mashable CEO Pete Cashmore and conservative video journalist James O’Keefe.

Earlier this year Stein was the subject of one of O’Keefe’s undercover video stings, in which O’Keefe aimed to discredit Stein as a journalist who boozes up his sources to get info. We asked Stein in an email how he felt being on the same list with O’Keefe. He wouldn’t comment on it.

“I just want to thank the academy for this honor… and the rest of the brilliant team at the Huffington Post. And my wife. And Starbucks. In no particular order. That’s all,” he said.
