Hazy Gets a Weekend Show

We’re bursting with joy for boybander Chris Hayes, currently Washington Bureau Chief of The Nation and an MSNBC contributor. He’s getting his own weekend show. As reported by NYT‘s Brian Stelter, the program will air Saturday from 7-9 a.m. and Sunday from 8-10.m.

Hazy will stay on at The Nation but in a different capacity. “In addition to the new MSNBC show on Sat and Sun mornings, I’ll be staying on as Editor at Large at the Nation. Gonna be an exciting fall,” he wrote on Twitter.

Slate‘s Dave Weigel is mostly excited. “Now I have to wake up on Saturdays?????” he wrote on Twitter. Hashtag: #thechrishayesera

Note to Hayes: A plea to you to unblock us on Twitter. Why do you have to follow in WaPo‘s Ezra Klein and Current TV’s Keith Olbermann‘s footsteps? Would you follow them off a bridge?
