Politico Loses Silicon Valley Reporter

michelleMichelle Quinn, Politico Pro’s Silicon Valley reporter and the publication’s only full-timer anywhere other than New York, Boston and D.C., leaves Politico after today. She’ll be a technology columnist for the San Jose Mercury-News, where she was previously employed.

We requested a comment from Quinn. Her automatic email reply is as follows: “Hello! My last day at POLITICO is Oct. 15. For future news matters, please email Eric Nelson at BLANK.com or Eric Engleman at BLANK.com. Thanks, Michelle”

Quinn told FishbowlDC: “I have had a great time at Politico and learned a lot.”

Correction: Quinn’s editor at Politico was Eric Engleman, not Engelman. She admitted she misspelled her own editor’s name in her outgoing message, which is a little funny when you think about it. We’ve changed the above to reflect the correct spelling.
