Glenn Beck Launches Publishing Division

Radio host and author Glenn Beck has expanded his “multi-book, multi-imprint co-publishing agreement” with Simon & Schuster. At the same time, Beck will launch Mercury Ink, a publishing division co-published by Simon & Schuster and Beck’s Mercury Radio Arts.

In August, Mercury Ink will publish Michael Vey: The Prisoner of Cell 25, a young adult novel by Richard Paul Evans–the author of The Christmas Box.

Here’s the description: “To everyone at Meridian High School, Michael Vey is an ordinary fourteen-year-old. In fact, the only thing that seems to set him apart is the fact that he has Tourette’s syndrome. But Michael is anything but ordinary. Michael has special powers. Electric powers.”

Under the renewed Simon & Schuster agreement, Beck will publish The Original Argument: The Federalists’ Case for the Constitution, Adapted for the 21st Century (nonfiction trade paperback) on June 14 and The Snow Angel (a novel) in October.

Mercury Radio Arts SVP of publishing Kevin Balf will acquire books for the new publishing division. The division “will discover, publish and promote books and authors that Glenn is passionate about across a variety of genres.”
