ABC News, Univision News Announce Plans for Multiplatform Hispanic News, Lifestyle and Entertainment Programming Service (ABC News)
Both organizations promised in a statement to provide "uncompromising coverage of current events with a unique perspective" with the around-the-clock, English-language television network and digital platform. Huffington Post The channel, which does not have a name yet, is set to debut in 2013. In an announcement on "Good Morning America," ABC's George Stephanopoulos said that it would be a "24/7 news, information and lifestyle network." Both ABC News and Univision will provide journalists for the channel. TVNewser "This is not an ideological venture," ABC News president Ben Sherwood tells us. "The vision here is a full-service operation providing culturally relevant programming in English."
TNT and TBS Think Big for a Rolling Stone Issue (NYT / Media Decoder)
The magazine, published by Wenner Media, will return to its size of 10 by 11 3/4 inches, from its current size of around 8 by 11 inches, for a special issue that ships to subscribers on May 11. Titled "The Big Issue," it will celebrate big names in pop culture and include advertising exclusively by the Turner Broadcasting networks TNT and TBS.
