Research In Motion Ltd., the struggling maker of the BlackBerry smartphone, is cutting jobs as part of a broad cost-saving effort aimed at trimming $1 billion in operating expenses. YouTube founders to launch mysterious publishing service Zeen next week (The Next Web)
YouTube co-founder Chad Hurley has revealed that the mystery around Zeen, a site that helps create online magazines and publications, will soon be lifted as the service will launch next week. Precious little is known about Zeen -- other than the fact that it is a place to "discover and create beautiful magazines."
'Sesame Street' Movie in the Works from Fox (THR)
The studio has picked up the movie rights to the long-running and iconic children's television show and has tapped longtime Street writer Joey Mazzarino to pen the script. Producers are Shawn Levy and his 21 Laps banner, Michael Aguilar, Mark Gordon and Film 360's Guymon Casady.
