Good Luck Getting an iPhone 5 Next Friday (AllThingsD)
According to Apple's online store, pre-order inventory of the iPhone 5 is already sold out. Apple began accepting pre-orders around 12:01 AM PT this morning, and a little over an hour later the company was forced to move the shipping window for the device forward amid heavy demand.

The New USA Today is Here (FishbowlNY)
The all new USA Today debuted today. It's certainly more colorful. Though we're not fans of the big blue blob as a logo, Larry Kramer, publisher of the paper, said, "Our new logo will be as dynamic as the news itself -- we'll use it as a platform to express our editorial spirit."

NYTimes Offers Lump-Sum Pay or Lower Annuity Option to Ex-Staff (Reuters)
The New York Times Co said it informed some former employees that it will offer pensioners the option to receive a one-time lump sum payment or start a lower monthly annuity now, in a bid to reduce its pension liabilities.
