Baba Shetty has been named Newsweek/Daily Beast's new CEO. He will take over for Stephen Colvin, who was president of the Daily Beast and later became CEO of the entity when the site merged with Newsweek.

Gnip, a social data API aggregation company, announced that it will now offer the entirety of all archived tweets available for outside analysis. Provided, of course, that you pay to use Gnip's new "historical powertrack" product.

Vimeo Finally Lets Creators Make Money Off Their Videos (SocialTimes)
The video site has announced some new features to help creators make money off their work. Although it is still going to remain non-commercial (so advertising revenue is off the table), the site now has a "Tip Jar" and will soon roll out a Pay-To-View service.
