Fox News CEO Roger Ailes: ‘Nobody’s ever going to run me out of any place that I don’t want to leave’

Fox News CEO Roger Ailes has been unpredictably open to the media lately — doing interviews with Esquire, “The Daily Beast,” and most recently The New Yorker, which highlighted Ailes’ view of the finer things in life: a house, a wife, newspaper publishing, arguing with environmentalists, and a park that dogs can crap on.

Ailes told The New Yorker:

All I ever wanted was a nice place to live, a great family, and to die peacefully in my sleep.

The Fox News CEO has become frustrated with his community in New York’s Hudson Highlands:

There have been days when I’ve been tempted to just take a couple of Fox News trucks and park ’em on the street, so they could assume we were up there doing something. We have very studiously avoided bringing Fox News into the community. Now they act like it’s come in, because we moved there. But if they continue to push me, why, we might have to introduce it someday and just scare the hell out of them.

Ailes is determined to keep his paper in the small community, telling The New Yorker that “Nobody’s ever going to run me out of any place that I don’t want to leave.”
