Geraldo Rivera Adds ‘Radio Talk Show Host’ To His Resume
Fox News Channel anchor and correspondent Geraldo Rivera is adding another notch to his belt: radio talk show host. Rivera will join New York’s WABC to host the weekday 10 AM-12 PM timeslot, one of the cushier radio slots in the New York market.
Rivera will continue as a correspondent and host on FNC, though he cut back on his weekend show from two nights to one. Brian Stelter at the New York Times has more:
Although Mr. Rivera is a registered Republican, he expresses liberal views on issues like immigration and abortion. “He brings balance to the discourse,” Mr. Dickey said.
Mr. Rivera said his show would have two slogans, both of which highlight his differences: “I’m Geraldo and I’m not always right” and “Not red, not blue, but red, white and blue.”
The 10 AM-12 PM slot used to belong to Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski, though their radio program was eventually put on hiatus. Despite a promise to return to WABC as a weekend program, Joe and Mika have yet to return to those airwaves.
