Jeff Zucker on Short List for Top Tribune Job
The New York Post reports former NBCU CEO Jeff Zucker is a top candidate for the CEO post at beleagured Tribune Company, owner of The Chicago Tribune, Los Angeles Times and 23 TV stations across the country.
“They’re interested in Jeff Zucker,” one source told the Post’s Claire Atkinson. “They want someone who has a lot of experience in television.” Zucker’s office did not return calls to the Post.
Right now, Zucker is focused on launching Katie Couric’s new syndicated show which bows in September.
Tribune remains in bankruptcy protection with the next court date set for Thursday.
