No, Sarah Palin Isn’t Joining Al Jazeera America

A story from the Washington Post is making waves online today, as it says that former Fox News contributor Sarah Palin is joining the upcoming Al Jazeera America channel.

There is just one teeny little problem: the story is totally fictitious.

Parody website The Daily Currant posted a “wide-ranging” “Interview” with “Palin,” in which she said things like:

“As you all know, I’m not a big fan of newspapers, journalists, news anchors and the liberal media in general,” Palin said. “But I met with the folks at Al-JaJizzraa (sic) and they told me they reach millions of devoutly religious people who don’t watch CBS or CNN. That tells me they don’t have a liberal bias.”

Apparently author Suzi Parker thought that was good enough to base a story on for the Post’s website.

As of 10 AM the post was still up and not corrected. A screengrab of the post is after the jump.
