Piers Morgan to Leave ‘America’s Got Talent’ To Focus on CNN Show
At the end of his CNN program tonight, Piers Morgan announced that he would not be returning to “America’s Got Talent” next season. Morgan extended his deal with NBC last year, a deal which would have kept him on the talent show through 2013. This year Morgan juggled both shows, taping some episodes of “Piers Morgan Tonight” in order to do live “Got Talent” episodes.
“I have discovered that juggling, to my surprise, really is a bit more difficult than I thought, so I am going to focus on what will be a huge year at CNN with the upcoming election,” Morgan said.
