WAREHOUSE OPERATOR - FORKLIFT | DETAILS AND COMPENSATION:
Location:
Madison GA 30650 – 100% on-site
(with travel to Covington as needed)
Payrate:
$16.50/hr
Required Availability:
Full-Time | Monday – Friday, 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM
WAREHOUSE OPERATOR - FORKLIFT | SUMMARY AND HIGHLIGHTS:
The
Warehouse Operator - Forklift
will use a variety of equipment to move materials, sort and inspect parts, and ensure accurate documentation of products within a warehouse and manufacturing environment. You will work under general supervision following clearly defined Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to meet production and quality goals.
This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance
A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
WAREHOUSE OPERATOR - FORKLIFT | RESPONSIBILITIES:
Shipment Handling:
Unload inbound trucks, verify catalog/lot numbers and quantities, and stack materials according to specific pallet patterns.
Equipment Operation:
Operate stand-up forklifts and manual or automatic hand trucks to locate pallets into high-reach racks.
Sterilization Support:
Assemble sterilization loads according to diagrams and place biological indicators (spores) within the loads.
Inventory Control:
Complete transactions using JD Edwards and IBM Data Collection scanners to receive product into the system.
Safety & Maintenance:
Exercise safe lifting techniques and maintain a clean work area in compliance with Quality System Regulations (QSR).
WAREHOUSE OPERATOR - FORKLIFT | REQUIREMENTS :
Education: High School Diploma or GED (verifiable)
Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
2+ years of experience operating material handling equipment, specifically a
stand-up fork truck , is strongly preferred.
Must be certified to operate a forklift and successfully pass a Lift Drivers Test.
Ability to perform basic mathematical computations and follow technical written/verbal instructions.
Strong logic and reasoning skills to resolve daily operational issues.
Good oral and written communication skills in English.
Flexibility:
Must be able to work between the Madison and Covington plants as required.
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift/move up to 30 lbs.
Ability to stand for prolonged periods and perform repetitive bending, lifting, and turning.
Work Environment
High-volume, fast-paced warehouse.
Environment may be hot or humid depending on the season; may work near moving mechanical parts or in high places.
