$49,000 - $72,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily shipping and receiving operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of materials.
Train, mentor, and supervise shipping and receiving personnel, fostering a productive and safe work environment.
Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts and reconciliation, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
Coordinate with production, quality, and logistics departments to optimize material flow and meet production schedules.
Operate and maintain material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, adhering to safety protocols.
Implement and enforce company policies and procedures related to shipping, receiving, and inventory control.
Prepare and process all necessary shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, and customs forms.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall departmental performance.
Recommended Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or technical certification preferred.
3+ years experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics, with at least 1 year in a lead or supervisory role.
Proficient in using ERP/MRP systems and warehouse management software (WMS).
Demonstrated ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment, with current certification.
Strong understanding of inventory control principles, shipping regulations, and safety protocols.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Bonus Qualifications
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for inventory management and transaction processing.
Forklift certification and experience operating various material handling equipment.
Demonstrated ability to train and mentor junior shipping/receiving personnel.
Familiarity with international shipping regulations and customs procedures.
Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
