Shipping & Receiving Clerk | Norton Shores, MI
Salary Range:
$41,000 - $61,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
Receive, inspect, and log incoming raw materials and finished goods.
Prepare outgoing shipments, including packaging, labeling, and creating shipping documents.
Load and unload trucks using forklifts or other material handling equipment.
Maintain accurate inventory records through cycle counts and data entry.
Coordinate with production, quality control, and logistics teams to ensure timely material flow.
Organize and maintain the warehouse and receiving areas for efficiency and safety.
Operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other equipment safely.
Identify and report discrepancies or damages in shipments.
Recommended Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
1-3 years experience in shipping, receiving, or warehousing, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Proficient in using various material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jack, forklift - certification preferred).
Experience with inventory management systems and basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office).
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and perform physical tasks.
Bonus Qualifications
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for inventory management.
Forklift certification (e.g., counterbalance, reach truck).
Proficiency in using barcode scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS).
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement.
