Jimmy Fallon Calling For Twitter Submissions For A 2012 Super Bowl Commercial Jingle

Calling all budding songwriters: Twitter can be your road to stardom this February.

Jimmy Fallon will be crowd-sourcing on Twitter the script of the new Lincoln MKZ commercial, slated to debut during the February 2013 Super Bowl.

Today, Wednesday, December 5 at noon, Jimmy will send out a single tweet, then let the Twitter universe take over by contributing ideas for the 60-second script.

Fallon will curate the tweeted suggestions and pen the final script, in partnership with Ford.

What a cool way to harness the millions of voice on Twitter to craft something super creative, and high-profile. Super Bowl Sunday is, after all, the most expensive day of the year for TV advertising.

Check out what Jimmy had to say so far about the project, which is called Steer The Script:

Follow Jimmy Fallon on Twitter, and be sure to use the hashtag #SteerTheScript. Remember, today at noon is go-time. You can follow the countdown clock here.

Good luck!
