Fodor’s City Guide Apps Updated & Free

If you are visiting New York, Paris, London, Rome, Barcelona or San Francisco in the near future, there is a series of new apps available to help guide you on your trip. Random House’s imprint Fodor’s Travel has relaunched its line of city guide iOS apps, adding new features and making them free for the first time.

The apps, which are powered by developer Red Foundry’s new Fusion platform, are aimed at making the user experience easier. For example, there are interactive offline maps so that you don’t have to pay data fees while trudging around. In addition, the apps include integration with partners including: Expedia Affiliate Network, OpenTable and TicketsNow, so that users can book travel, dinner and entertainment all from within the app.

Amanda D’Acierno, VP and Publisher of Fodor’s, stated: “Fodor’s understands its travelers are on the go and need curated, trusted information, whether they’re in the planning stages or during their travels.”
