Nina Garcia Runs Away to Marie Claire
May 9, 2008|
Condé Nast continues to shuffle its publishers like a compulsive casino dealer. The latest moves include Gourmet publisher Tom Hartman heading to corporate sales, being replaced by Allure publisher Nancy Berger Cardone, who in turn will be succeed by Vanity Fair associate publisher Agnes Chapski. Oh, and Jason Wagenheim will slide over from corporate sales to replace Chapski. That's all for now... Bravo president Lauren Zalaznick has been promoted to president of NBC Universal's Woman and Lifestyle Entertainment Networks, a pretentious way of saying she's inherited Oxygen and iVillage (and Beth Comstock's mess) to add to her holdings... Randy Michaels has been bumped up to COO of Tribune Co.... Fired Early Show co-anchor Rene Syler signs on as host of Parents TV... Hyperion associate publisher and marketing director Jane Comins is the latest to bail out; she's headed to Yale University Press as publishing director... John Salustri moves up from national online editor of GlobeSt.com, the real estate news site, to become editorial director of its parent company, ALM. Ian Ritter replaces him, while Connie Gore becomes the site's national news editor... Robert Schlesinger leaves behind the national security beat at the Boston Globe to become the deputy opinion editor of U.S. News & World Report... Andrea Dawn Clark slides up from beauty editor to beauty director of Woman's World, while Pauline Lee moves up a notch as well to associate beauty editor... Ronnie Weil is now director of photography for BusinessWeek... Keren Eldad leaves Surface to sell fashion ads for the Los Angeles Times... Lucienne Diver switches agencies, joining The Knight Agency from Spectrum Literary Agency... And there are more changes at Interweave, LexisNexis, Thirteen/WNET, Science News, TRA, Avenue A | Razorfish, Scotsman Guide Media, and Good Housekeeping...
