After 15 years at the New York Observer, Peter Kaplan will step down from his position as editor on June 1. Gawker hears that Jared Kushner, who purchased the paper two and a half years ago, might be considering a sale, but the real estate mogul told Keith Kelly, "I'm committed to the paper for the long haul." Kaplan, who's rumored to have had a rocky relationship with the Observer owner (27 years his junior), stated he wants to spend more time with his family but could assume the vacant No. 2 spot at Conde Nast Traveler...
