"You don't have to be a WeightWatchers member to pick up the magazine and subscribe to it" -- though about 50 percent of readers are. Licensed to Time, Inc.'s Southern Progress division for a few years in the '90s, the magazine was re-purchased by WeightWatchers and relaunched as a major newsstand title in 2000. "Now," says Gagliardi, "the magazine is looking at weight loss through the lens of overall wellness, because weight loss isn't just about food, it's about what's going on in your head, about fitness and your overall health."
