Circulation: 750,000 Background: The past few years have seen some top-of-the-masthead changes at Men's Journal, but, "we're on a roll," says editor Brad Wieners. "We want to carry that forward." He adds that Men's Journal found its adventure-travel identity under former editor Michael Caruso. "The magazine combines elements of a fitness magazine and an adventure travel magazine," says Wieners, adding, "The identity crisis that could have come from that has gone away." The magazine targets "achievement-oriented men" with service-oriented stories on the activities guys love to do -- from hobbies to sports to cooking and more. "Men feel manly when they've mastered skills." "We do very few straight trend pieces. We very much want to get into men's lives and how they deal with challenges. What motivates them, what makes them tick."
