Background: There are only three kinds of stories in Teen People: 1) stories about the celebs teens are obsessed with, 2) stories about the fashion and beauty teens are obsessed with, and 3) stories about actual teens and all their obsessions, dilemmas, tragedies, and triumphs. And, blissfully, Teen People's editors are open to getting pitches for all three.

But don't assume that just because Teen People's formula is simple and their editors are friendly that their articles are easy to write....
