Jesse Oxfeld: Thank you for coming. Shirley Halperin is the music editor at Us Weekly. Despite being a lifelong rock 'n' roll fan, Shirley has covered virtually every genre of the musical landscape. She started her own alternative music magazine, Smug, while at Rutgers College in 1995. Smug quickly grew from a fanzine to a national glossy magazine.
