Steve Adler isn't wasting any time alienating his new staff at BusinessWeek. Adler's officially been on the job a week now, and his #2, managing editor Mark Morrison, has already deserted his post, the McGraw-Hill Building, and Manhattan altogether to become a national correspondent based in Austin, Texas. In Adler's memo to the staff this week, he noted that "Mark first proposed this to me a few weeks ago," meaning Morrison never had any intentions of sticking around.
