The umpteenth British invasion of magazine editors is on its way. Following his failed attempts to free Us Weekly editor/double agent Nicola McCarthy from her contract with Jann Wenner, U.K. tabloid mogul Richard Desmond is going ahead anyway with his plans to launch a U.S. edition of OK!. Sarah Ivens, the deputy editor of the British mothership, is preparing to wade ashore, while American Media tabloid refugee Martin Smith is already recruiting behind the enemy lines of his former employer.
