Some publications are classic way stations for bright young things headed somewhere, usually at high speed. Time Out New York is one classic example, having groomed countless senior editors for the big glossies. Women's Wear Daily is another; seemingly every fashion editor in the business worked there at one time or another. To those ranks, perhaps we should add Teen Vogue, which lately has been a conduit for Elle editors...
