Circulation: 1.5 million Background: Women's Health launched in fall 2004, following the success of Men's Health and the clamoring of women for their own version. "The magazine's readers came of age as part of the Title IX generation, and fitness has naturally been a big part of their lives," says executive editor Lisa Bain. "They want to be spoken to in a way that's both authentic and supportive, and WH gives them that." The core topics of the magazine are health, nutrition, fitness, sex and relationships, beauty, and fashion, but Women's Health also focuses on money and careers, emotional well-being, and social issues of key interest to young women today. "Women's Health uses diligent reporting, scientific research, and intimate, entertaining writing to help women gain control of their physical and emotional lives," says Bain.
