Background: Though it is one of the original Seven Sisters, known for their family- and- female-friendly editorial, and their commitment to no-frills service, Family Circle has experienced some drama during the past few years. In the summer of 2005, Gruner & Jahr sold the magazine, along with Fitness, Parents and Child, to the Meredith Corporation, where it joined Sisters Ladies' Home Journal and Better Homes and Gardens (plus newcomer to the women's mag beat, More).
