New Times Chief Reads Paper, Fires Partner

David Schneiderman, the one-time editor of the Village Voice who
then crossed the aisle to become CEO and stakeholder, finally reaped what he
sowed this week when his "partners" at New Times essentially pushed him out.
Schneiderman technically resigned, but according
to Keith Kelly, New Times CEO James Larkin thought so little
of him that he once pointedly read the newspaper during a Schneiderman
presentation. After the latter sold Village Voice Media to New Times, he
