Hollywood Reporter Benefits From A Variety Of Changes

The Hollywood Reporter has finally found its new editor in Elizabeth Guilder, the former executive editor and current editor-at-large at its blood rival, Variety. According to Nikki Finke, who applies her gimlet eye to the hire, Guilder is damaged goods and her move has more to do with the "Variety-ization" of the smaller paper, reflected in the poaching of consultant Gerry Byrne, publishing director Eric Mika and associate publisher Rose Einstein, all of whom are Variety alumni.
