Zero-hour is fast approaching for Rupert Murdoch's takeover of Dow Jones and The Wall Street Journal. The first dominoes have already begun falling: CEO Richard Zannino resigned with a $19 million payday for handing Rupert the keys, and he will be replaced by a new executive team headed by News Corp. executive Leslie Hinton and Times of London editor Robert Thomson. The former will run Dow Jones while the latter will replace Gordon Crovitz as publisher of the paper. CFO Bill Plummer is also expected to leave as a News Corp. crew begins swarming the paper.
