The information in this article is current and accurate.

Circulation: 20,000 print subscribers
Frequency: Twice a month
Special issues: "Emerging Scholars" (January), "Technology" (March), "Student-athletes" (April), "Careers" (November)

Background: In 1984, civil rights activists and scholars William E. Cox and Frank L. In 2005, the publication was re-named Diverse: Issues in Higher Education to reflect issues of all underrepresented groups. Diverse readers are primarily university presidents, deans, professors and students. The pub tackles issues including admissions, affirmative action, minority faculty hiring and retention and financial aid.

"Our content has been relatively consistent in the subject are as Diverse has covered over the years," said senior contributing editor Ronald Roach. "We have, however, increased the coverage of international issues, including topics in international education for U.S. students, foreign students in the U.S. and U.S. higher education competitiveness." Roach said that the magazine's readers respond enthusiastically to op-ed and commentary articles by higher education professionals on diversity-related subjects.
