Background: Bicycling, the world's largest cycling magazine, is celebrating its 52nd anniversary this year. Under the direction of editor-in-chief Peter Flax, who took the helm in August 2010 after serving as the executive editor of Runner's World, the magazine unveiled a major redesign in the June 2011 issue.
