Conan Signs With TBS; NYT Expands With New Bureaus

Coco's back. Conan O'Brien, who left NBC in an ugly fashion earlier this year, will join TBS in the 11 p.m. time slot. Ironically, his arrival will push George Lopez's show back an hour. (Hmm, where have we seen that before?) O'Brien, perhaps more popular than ever, is slated to start November 11, after the World Series. He'll face an uphill battle, trying to succeed with a one-hour show at a time notorious for killing programs of that length while battling Jon Stewart's The Daily Show for basic cable viewers.
