party photos: design think{drinks} 03.26.02

From left: Julie Iovine, James Sanders, Robert Ivy, Paola Antonelli, Karen Steen, and Victoria Rowan

The stark, minimalist white space of New York's Art Directors Club was the very á propos location for the latest in our THINK{drinks} series of discussions, titled "Is the Design Media Too Sheltered?" Guests from the worlds of design and architecture schmoozed, enjoyed free Bombay Sapphire cocktails, and listened to a panel that included Robert Ivy, editor-in-chief of Architectural Record; Paola Antonelli, curator of architecture and design at MoMA (the Museum of Modern Art); Julie Iovine, a reporter for The New York Times; James Sanders, architect, documentarian, and author of Celluloid Skyline, a book about architecture in film; and Karen Steen, senior editor at Metropolis. The event was produced and moderated by Victoria Rowan.
